This project began with a challenge: the original space was divided into three disconnected rooms that lacked both flow and functionality. Our client wanted something more open, practical, and beautiful—a space where the kitchen could truly serve as the heart of the home.
Our solution was a complete layout reimagining. We merged the three rooms into one cohesive and highly functional living space, creating a seamless connection between the kitchen, living area, laundry room, and powder room.
To support the new open layout, we expanded natural light throughout the space. A small window above the kitchen sink was replaced with a double casement window, flooding the room with daylight. We also replaced the old single exterior door with a space-saving double outswing door, enhancing both access and aesthetics.
We added a new walk-in pantry with a sliding barn door, maximizing storage while maintaining an efficient floor plan.
A large central island became the showpiece of the kitchen. With cabinetry on both sides, a built-in microwave drawer, and a second sink, the island offers both functionality and hospitality—perfect for meal prep, casual dining, or entertaining.
